What began as a stabbing investigation early Monday resulted in a Jasper man being arrested for false informing by the end of the day.
Jasper Police were called to the Salvation Army Family store, 1336 Newton Street, Jasper around 7:30 a.m. Police had been notified that a passerby had observed a man lying in front of the store and had blood on his face.
Police arrived, along with the Jasper Fire Chief and Memorial Hospital EMS to find 43-year-old Terry Meece of Jasper with a small pocket knife in his chest and various cut marks on his body.&nb
