Shelter animals need Christmas gifts too

Shelter animals need Christmas gifts too

Each of the homeless dogs and cats at the Dubois County Humane Society Pet Adoption Center has requested some special items they would like to receive for Christmas this year.  To achieve that goal, a Wish Tree has been put up at the Pet Adoption Center.  On that tree are ornaments with each animal's name and picture and what they would like to have for Christmas.  People can come in and choose one of the ornaments, purchase one or more of the items the dog or cat has requested, and bring the items to the Pet Adoption Center by December 21.

Low cost spay-neuter certificates

Due to the overwhelming response to the Dubois County Humane Society low cost spay/neuter certificate program, society officials say it has become  necessary to adhere more strictly to their original policy of giving priority  to individuals who need financial assistance in getting a pet spayed or neutered and for people who find stray animals.
