Toastmasters coming to Jasper

From Toastmasters International comes this press release:

Toastmasters International, a nonprofit leadership organization, is set to open a new public club in Jasper.  A typical club consists of 20 to 30 members gathering for an hour once per week to practice public speaking and leadership techniques.  Upon joining a club each new member receives a variety of proven manuals and resources to use for participation in weekly meetings.

Members conduct meetings with a self-paced series five-minute speaking projects fulfilling various meeting roles.  Other members offer constructive feedback; no instructor grades your performance.  There are no lectures or classrooms at a Toastmasters club.  All learning is hands-on, and experienced members help new members learn and grow.
