Jasper woman still hospitalized after car strikes combine Friday | News
A Jasper woman was injured Friday night when her car collided with a combine on Jasper-Dubois Road.
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says 36-year-old Diana Betz pulled out onto the roadway a little before 6 p.m. and intended to make a U-turn but was blinded by the glare of the sun and didn't see the combine driven by 64-year-old Robert Rasche.
Betz ran into the back of the combine and struck her head.
She was trapped inside the 2005 Chevrolet Impala before being freed by first responders. She was eventually flown to St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville for treatment. She was reported in fair condition Tuesday morning.
