Three hurt in Jasper chain reaction crash | News
A chain reaction crash caused US 231 south of Jasper to be closed for about 30 minutes Thursday afternoon.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says a 2004 Chevy Cavalier driven by 21-year-old Savonna L. Carrie of Huntingburg struck the back of an SUV driven by 76-year-old Donald Kieser of Gentryville. The impact pushed Kieser’s vehicle into a van driven by 66-year-old Carol Bryson of Huntingburg.
The accident happened in a construction zone.
Kieser was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper for a chest injury. Carrie complained of pain to her wrist and Bryson suffered back pain.
Carrie was cited for following too closely.
The total damage to all three vehicles was over $10,000.
