Teen drivers collide in Jasper; cars need to be pulled apart | News
Jasper Police had to call a wrecker to untangle two vehicles that collided in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a 16-year-old driver in a 2005 Ford Mustang told them he "spaced out" and struck a 2007 Mazda 6 driven by another teenager on Sixth Street near Kluemper Road. The teen whose vehicle was hit had been slowing down for another driver who was trying to turn south on Kluemper.
The 16-year-old said he tried to slam on his brakes but it was too late.
The impact had such force that the two vehicles became hooked together.
The 16-year-old was cited for following too closely but neither boy was seriously hurt.
