JASPER, IN (WFIE)- If you hear storm sirens in Jasper on Monday afternoon, don't panic. It's just a test.
The Jasper Police Department is issuing a reminder to residents that there will be a monthly test of the Tornado Warning System on Monday, July 1 around 4:00 p.m.
At that time, all 10 sirens the city will be activated. Officials say the cable interrupter will also be tested in the Jasper and Huntingburg areas.
Police say the first day of each month has been designated as the official test time.
