Jasper Police looking for car that caused accident | News
Jasper Police are looking for a hit and run driver who sent a teenage girl’s car into another lane of traffic.
Police say 18-year-old McKinley Lynch of French Lick was northbound on the inside lane of traffic on US 231 between 6th and 7th Streets late Thursday morning when a gray, luxury model passenger car tried to pass a slow moving semi. While changing lanes, the suspect vehicle hit the right front end of the girl’s car.
The impact pushed Lynch’s vehicle into the southbound lane, where she nearly hit another vehicle.
The driver of the gray car didn’t stop.
Jasper Police say the car they’re looking for is a 2008 model or newer, four-door sedan, possibly a Lexus. It will likely have damage.
