Winter Wooly Weekend in Ferdinand | Events
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Got wool? Or maybe acrylic or angora? No matter what type of skein is tucked in your own personal knitting bag, you'll want to pack it, along with a weekend suitcase, and join like-minded individuals for the first, hopefully annual, Winter Wooly Weekend at Kordes Center in Ferdinand, February 1, 2 and 3.
Organized by a group of area knit-a-holics, the weekend retreat is designed for sharing creative ideas and good times.
Love to knit? You're welcome. Want to learn? You're welcome too. So are spinners and crocheters.
Cost for the retreat is $200 and includes all meals (two breakfasts, one lunch, two dinners; dietary needs can be accommodated), double occupancy rooms in a handicap accessible building, goodie bags at time of registration, vendors on site Saturday, free internet and — best of all — FREE knitting classes for beginners to advanced.
Participants are encouraged to bring projects as well as show and tell items. To reserve your space or for more information, email winterwoolyweekend@gmail.com or visit Facebook or Ravelry under forums or, for the technologically challenged, call Patti Schroeder (after 5 p.m.) at 812-357-5667. Deadline for reservations is Monday, July 21, 2013.
