A California man has been charged with failing to register as a sex offender. He was convicted of molesting a Dubois County five-year-old two years ago.
James Miller, 41, Huntingburg, Ind., was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm, following an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and Jasper Police Department.
Indiana State Police Jasper District will participate in Operation Pull Over Blitz 68 campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, joining more than 260 Indiana law enforcement agencies to crack down on impaired drivers.

Two suspects, including a teenage girl were apprehended Thursday morning by sheriff''s deputies with help from a K-9 unit after responding to a burglary in progress call.
The two juveniles who were involved in the shooting last Friday night at the Taco Bell restaurant parking lot in Jasper had their initial court appearances this week and have been waived into adult court.
