Two arrested for Jasper K of C burglary | Crime
Jasper Police have arrested two people in connection with a burglary last weekend at the Knights of Columbus building.
Michael S. Jones, 33, and Sophia L. Peters, 29, who live on Main Street in Jasper were arrested Friday.
Officers found no forced entry into the building when they investigated the theft of $675 in cash last Sunday.
Police say they learned Jones had threatened a woman who worked there to leave the building unlocked at the end of business hours Saturday. Fearing for her safety, the woman did as she was told.
Jones and Peters are charged with Class C felony burglary and Class D felony theft. They're in the Dubois County Security Center. Jones is being held without bond. Peters' bond is $1,750.
