Green Room Rockers in Folk Fest fundraiser Saturday | Arts & Culture
The Green Room Rockers are set to return for a Ferdinand Folk Festival fundraiser to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Gaslight on Huntingburg’s historic Fourth Street. The show is set to begin at 8 p.m. (EST). Former Forest Park student, Perry Clark, is the band’s drummer.
The band performed on the Main Stage at the 2011 Ferdinand Folk Festival and at a fundraiser for the fest in the winter of 2012. The GRR’s music is self-described as being “…soul sonic, blues drenched sounds of reggae and ska”.
“The Green Room Rockers are, absolutely, friends of the Ferdinand Folk Festival,” said Marc Steczyk, Ferdinand’s Town Manager. “Their willingness to help us out yet again is very much appreciated.”
All net proceeds from the performance will benefit the 2013 Ferdinand Folk Festival.
Seating is limited to approximately 150. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the Ferdinand Town Hall (2065 Main Street, Ferdinand) and the Gaslight (328 East 4th Street, Huntingburg). It is anticipated that this show will sell out, so please make every effort to purchase tickets in advance. Questions can be sent to Steczyk at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 367-2282.
